BRAND MANAGER- BROADCASTING AT NATION MEDIA

Nation Media Group seeks to recruit an experienced and self-motivated individual to the position of,, Brand Manager, Broadcasting in our Marketing department.


The job holder will be responsible for providing leadership in building brands, assessing consumer and
business conditions, developing and executing category and brand strategies to achieve financial and
marketing business objectives for the brands within the NBD category.


Main Responsibilies:
• Developing and providing leadership in implementation of Marketing and Communication strategy
to achieve the Division’s business objectives and overall company objectives;
• Preparing annual budgets and forecasts for the NBD brands;
• Guiding the effective management of Advertising and Promotion for NBD brands. This includes
Allocating, Managing and monitoring the Advertising and Promotion budgets by quarter by year
while evaluating marketing effectiveness;
• Working closely with key stakeholders in editorial/programming, advertising and circulation to
align business objectives and marketing needs;
• Directing and analyzing regular market research to develop insights for product development,
brand positioning and brand equity growth;
• Preparing the Division’s quarterly board reports analyzing market trends, circulation, editorial and
advertising performance for review and presentation by the Head of Marketing;
• Coordinating New Product Development and Launches;
• Leading, motivating and managing the NBD brand team to flawlessly execute brand plans and to
achieve marketing objectives;
• Responsible for driving trade marketing for the NBD brand as well as ensure brand visibility in
trade and in events is maximized;
• Development of promotions/campaigns to drive retention as well as attracting new customers
• Identifying, analyzing and understanding market trends; both Consumer and Market;
• Leading relationship and collaborating with advertising and PR partners and ensuring great output
and best value for NBD brands; and
• Understanding, gathering, analyzing and generating insights from competitor activities.


Qualificatons Experience& skills:
Academic:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution;
Nation Media Group
• Master’s degree will be an added advantage
Professional:
• Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional qualification either done on in progress
• Membership to the professional body like MSK
Experience:
• Brand building experience with a Media House and broadcasting will be an added advantage
• Six (6) years of relevant experience three (3) of which should be at a Brand Manager role
• Experience dealing with cross functional teams
• A good grasp of digital marketing and digital activations of brands to drive brand outcomes
• Project management skills or professional qualification is an added advantage
