Job Summary

Reporting to the General Manager, Geothermal Development, the job holder is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Geothermal Reservoir and Steamfield above- ground systems, to ensure optimal exploitation of Geothermal Resource.

JOB AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Duties and responsibilities

1. Reviewing the production and re-injection data and use to prepare steam status reports.
2. Overseeing implementation of steamfield operational activities and preparing operational reports.
3. Administering inspection of steamfield infrastructure and compiling inspection reports
4. Planning, coordinating, execution of Steamfield maintenance activities and compiling maintenance reports.
5. Planning and coordinating Calibration of Steamfield tools, instruments, equipment and compiling reports.
6. Identifying and initiating new departmental projects and preparing project proposals for design and construction.
7. Coordinating provision of design input data, project design reviews, project implementation, testing and commissioning.
8. Ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Occupational Health and Safety, statutory and other regulatory requirements.
9. Facilitating, monitoring and absorption of budget for the Division
10. Participating in procurement process.
11. Coaching and mentoring staff within the division using relevant human resource tools.

Person Specifications

1. A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience five (5) of which must have been at a senior management position in a large organization.
2. Master’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized Institution is an added advantage
3. Bachelor of Science/Technology Degree in: Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
4. Registered Professional Engineer in good standing with Engineers Board of Kenya.
5. Membership with Institution of Engineers of Kenya in good standing.
6. Membership with Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board

Terms of Service:

The appointment will be for a contractual period of five (5) years renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
