Requirements for Appointment 

For appointment to this position, an officer must have: –

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: -Commerce (Accounting, Finance), Business Management/Administration (Accounting, Finance), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  2. Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA, part I) or its equivalent;
  3. Membership to the Institute of Internal Auditors;
  4. Proficiency in computer applications; and
  5. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Internal Auditor will report to the Chief Manager, Internal Audit through Manager, Internal Audit and will be responsible for the following: 

  1. Prepare draft audit reports and submit to the immediate supervisor;
  2. Follow up with management on actions taken to implement audit recommendations;
  3. Carry out audits in accordance to the annual work plan of the Board;
  4. Assist in undertaking special/investigative audit assignments;
  5. Assist in carrying out system audit;
  6. Keep safe custody of audit working papers; and
  7. Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.

For the hard copy applications, the reference No. for the position applied for should be properly indicated on top of the envelope.

Candidates must submit the following documents alongside application

  1. Police Clearance (Certificate of good conduct);
  2. Duly executed self-declaration form from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission;
  3. Clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority;
  4. Clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
  5. Clearance from a reputable Credit Reference Bureau.

NOTE

  1. Applicants for the position of Field Operations Officer/Fund Account Manager MUST indicate and show prove of their home constituency.
  2. Applications containing false information shall be disqualified.
  3. Details of academic and professional certificates not obtained by closure of the advert shall not be considered.
